Looks like quite the interesting site. You have a huge database of drinks, and the instructions are quite clear.

I do, however, wish that the information was layout a little better. Perhaps using tables or positioning would help out.

The biggest caveat I have with the site is the "Find Drink By Letter" selection. Perhaps it's because I have a large screen (Thus, lower resolution), but the letters are quite hard to click. The position of the letters is also quite undesirable (top right). Perhaps centering them in the middle of the main column and using a larger font would help.

The colors are also a bit too dull for my liking. I do like the small logo you have there, but the background does not give the logo much contrast. Same thing goes for the gray and green "Navigation" bit.

Overall, the fonts seem extremely small and are very hard to read, in my opinion. Everything seems very condensed and squashed in. Because you have a lot of content, you're going to need to come up with some way of organizing the data better. But, nonetheless, the site is quite good, although it needs improvement.

One last thing: The characters "" are at the top left portion of the page. You might want to take a look as to why they're there...

"" is a a byte order mark. Ive been trying to get rid of them but when ever i edit the file they come back...

Congras, you did a good job on the site.
I especially like your clean light color design and the domain name which perfect matached with contents.

Just some suggestions IMO.

1. May be you can setup a drop down menu or even a search function, instead of placing a long cocktail list on one page.

2. It will be great if you can show pictures directly for each recipe. This is very useful especially for visitors to understand what the cocktail looks like.

Good site, and big selection of drinks.

A few things that I like:
- Very easy to navigate
- Very fast loading

A few things not so good:
- Text could be bigger for better readability - on my 1680x1050 resolution monitor, the 10px font is quite small.
- The header background shouldn't be dotted. I think it would make the header popo out more if it didn't have the dotted background on it. On the rest of the page, it works though.
- Put more color into the left sidebar so it stands out more. I was on the site for 5 minutes before I even noticed there was actual links over there as opposed to just ads. Maybe make that text bigger so it stands out more.

Overall, good site. Excellent idea, and well executed. My wife loved Mai Tais and we will try the ones on your site.

Here are my thoughts:

1) The green is a cool colour. Though, the logo is very generic. It doesn't stand out. You could definitely benefit from having someone design a professional logo with some type of icon involving a drink glass or something.

2) Next to where it says "Navigation" there is no navigation... just a link to the home page.

3) Maybe add some padding to the left of your left column, and also bump up the size of the text in both the left and right column.

4) When I click on one of the links on the left side, I am confronted with a huge list of items, with names that mean nothing to me. Maybe have them listed with tags, user ranking, etc.

5) When you get to a recipe, add some padding to the content box. Also, you should leave the right sidebar on those pages to keep continuity, especially when the recipes don't need that much space.

6) There really doesn't seem to be any way to interact with this website. I haven't seen a comment form, a reply form, or anything. I would have thought this would be a community driven website, but I guess it's literally what the ambiguous "they" mix.

Also...

Maybe have some way of having a "if you like this drink, you might like xxx" or something, where people can find similar drinks to expand their pallets.

I like the smoothing green color. But I think the red color clashes a bit with the main color. Also another thing, how the heck did you manage to get Yahoo ads? lol...Mine still haven't been approved. Though the Yahoo ads seems a bit off sometimes.

I will playwith the text size and colors this weekend...
The logo literally took me like three minutes, ive been working on another one.
I started coding a rating system but have came into some problems...
I was thinking about adding rss feeds and stuff, but i dont know how it will effect the uniqueness of my site, or if many people actually use them.

Excellent content, not a bad design although as said before it could do with a bit of color and an improved logo.

I think name-cloud gave you a heap of good pointers, if you could manage to implement them you'll have an excellent site. I don't really have much else to add that others haven't already said... except...

I noticed that when you go into a recipe the url shows "theymix.com/drink/2405/" - rather than the name of the drink/page title. This isn't great for seo. You should look into making it so the url reflects the page title rather than just numbers.
