Theming my site?

Hey sorry if this is in the wrong section, im not sure where to put it.

Im just wondering should i be theming my site for better ranking?
eample: www.site.com/pets/dog1.html

or is it just fine if i keep it like this;
www.site.com/dog1.html

Thats isnt my site by the way, its just an example.

I think the given links are examples for a SEO question.

bio2pets, both links would be equally as good in terms of SEO, but the first link would probably make more sense to your visitors, much more clearer to see what area/category they are in.

Yup they are just example links.

My site is relatively small so i don't think theming would matter for visitors. Ill just keep it the without theming if it doesent impact the search engines.
