If you're a film/DVD fan you may know that The Criterion Collection is a popular DVD production label that releases premium editions of foreign/arthouse/obscure films.
Anyway, Criterion's official domain name was/is www.criterionco.com -- but a year or so ago, they were able to get www.criterioncollection.com from a forum that used to use the name.
But -- the company's official name is The Criterion Collection. That's how it is advertized and printed on all of their DVDs and related materials.
As such, I get between 100-300 unique blind hits (people typing in the domain name off the top of their heads) every month.
I figure this would be a valuable name for a DVD retailer to redirect to their online store. 100-300 unique customer prospects a month must be worth something in the long term, right?
Any appraisals would be appreciated.
