I bought this domain thinking along lines of using for cat blog, many major newspapers have the word 'The' in front eg. The Financial Review, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times etc. GoDaddy lists CatChat for $98K (I know only 2 words). Mine is still only 10 letters. Cats very popular topic. Any ideas and/or comments on a valuation for this domain name?

You probably won't have much luck selling this one for any substantial amount of money (if at all). It's very narrow in focus, and domains suited for blogs or forums usually don't sell for much money unless the keywords are killer.

Keep in mind that the GoDaddy pricetag you mentioned for CatChat was chosen by another domainer, and in no way represents the real value of the name.

This one is registration value for me.

I agree with Joe, these kind of domains will likely be bought by people who can't afford a $xxx domain.
