Honestly, I think it's reflective more of a mania price than anything else.
After bubbles burst, one thing people are quick to trot out is what something sold for in the past. If you put that name on SEDO with a $650 BIN, would it sell? Perhaps. I doubt it, though. People overpay for domains all the time. While it's unusual for people to drop names they paid $650 for, it does show just how delusional the market was a few years back. The fact is, there are a lot of newbie domainers who make $30K or 40K a year working a regular job- who can afford to buy the occasional $600 or $1000 name- who make newbie-domainer mistakes on the aftermarket and 'realize' their expensive mistake later on, once they attain a higher degree of comprehension for domain name values... They get off easy and just let the off $600 mistake fall away; the real sad cases are the ones who got gold-rush fever and went into debt buying marginal names, paying end-user type prices on overpriced, no-prospect names, during their newbie "I Don't Know Shit" phase (<-- this happens more than one might think...).
That said, cool domain. It's worth more than reg fee. I'm neutral on Indian domains right now, until I see how the IDN space evolves over there.
