I've never owned one of these and was wondering what others think of the substitution of letters in a .com domain.Do you think they have any value?or have you ever sold one?
examples...food.com changed to phood.com,feed.com changed to pheed.com,climb.com changed to klimb.com...you get the idea. :talk:
Thanks!

I'd say the value is minimal unless:

1) There is significant type-in traffic due to a common spelling error.

2) The "creative" domain as described i.e. pheed.com is marketed and branded to the point where consumer awareness overtakes the natural inclination to spell the word correctly. For example, if I ran marketing for PheedBarn.com, a large percentage of my type in returns on investment would go to FeedBarn.com, because folks will remember the name, not necessarily the spelling.

So... I say minimal unless in a special niche or only if marketed very heavily to create the brand in the misspelling.

Some work better than others IMO.

Tek versus Tech for example.

Seems like the "c" being replaced with a "k" is the most common.
