Background on the free ipod referral deal:

You might have heard about these sites. The most popular gift, an Ipod, is offered by a site in exchange for a member signing up, completing an offer, and finding 5 other people to do the same. The offer involves a deal such as signing up to a free trial of Blockbuster's DVD by mail service. The offer is cancelable so it costs nothing to join. This concept is not a scam or a pyramid scheme, just the latest in internet viral marketing.

Numerous fan sites and message boards testify to the success of these sites. I myself have recently completed one of these sites and the gift of $275 is in my account now.

Message boards have often come together to form a conga line around one of these sites.

HOW THE CONGA WORKS

The initiator lists himself and members also interested in the Ipod follow by signing up through the initiator's referral link. Once that person in line has satisfied the site requirements the direction of new inductees work on the second person in line.

I am starting a similar conga line here but I want to modify it to benefit more ppl.

- 5 offer completions are required for a free Ipod, however, in this conga line each member is allowed a maximum of 4. This is to encourage members to seek help off the board. (I completed another site by simply offering $5 to each person who signed up under me; worked like a charm)
- The forum currency system is an advantage none of the other forums have. When inductees start slowing then those at the top of the line can start offering $NP as encouragement to keep the line moving.









RULES AND NOTES REGARDING CONGA - IMPORTANT ADVICE AND INFORMATION

Completing an offer is very simple. After signing up for the site you will land in the complete offer page. Select any number of options. Two of the offers are completely free trials (Blockbuster and efax) Blockbuster is cancelable through the online consol and efax can be deactivated by support chat. UPDATE: IT APPEARS BLOCKBUSTER IS NOW $10 AND EFAX IS GONE

I am uncertain about the time it takes for credit for a completed offer to be confirmed. freeipods.com instructs members to complete the entire 2 week Blockbuster trial in order to recieve credit. Info from www.anything4free.com indicates credit is erratic as instant to 15 days. From my current experience it seems Blockbuster will take over a week. Efax took 1 day to credit and offers such as nexiderm and videoprofessor are instant.

Note about advertising:

The count standings do not go by the green (confirmed) count provided by freeipods.com We count confirmed offer completions by the post or pm declaration a member makes. Days or even a week later freeipods.com will change the status to green.
I recall someone making the declaration by post in the previous thread, and a declaration you reported by PM in this thread. Add Alan's confirmation to give you 3/4 currently?

Just a note, my wife applied for a card (We're homeowners, nothing needed for credit score in the next few years, etc., so don't hate on me for the credit thing) and she was approved/credited on the free ipod thing right away.

Another instant option available.

So my personal experience:
