Very pronounceable CVCV top the list of non-word LLLL.coms which fetch the most.

VCVC really depend on the letters, unlike AABB and Triple Letters which have a fairly large value (~$500+ for triple repeats/AABB) regardless of letter quality.

On the pronounceable front, you're looking at (in general): CVCV > VCVC > CVVC > VCCV.

With rares, you're looking at (again, on average): AABB > Triple Repeat > ABAB > VVVV > Triple Non-Repeat.


If I had to average it out across all LLLL's, I'd say it goes as follows: CVCV > AABB > Triple Repeat > ABAB > VCVC > VVVV. CVVC/VCCV depend heavily on the letters and pronounceability.

Do you think asking prices help or hurt selling on Sedo? List for $500 but accept $100 or so?

I don't have much experience but in 3 cases when I sold LLLL.nets there were no low-ball offers. Buyers offered exactly asking price or even higher! When there is no asking price I'm always receiving low ball offers in 60-150$ range. As I see a lot of LLLL.net are sold for ~1500$. As to me such price may scare potential buyer. I don't know what to think. We need more statistics. Perhaps for the start I will put for 50% of my names 775$ as asking price and for another 50% i will put 475$ as asking price.

BTW, have you noted that there are more 4L.net end-user sales than 3L.net end-user sales and ROI of 4L.net end-user sales is significantly higher.

ps. I'm not going to sell LLLL.net domains to end users for less than 300$ any more. Selling any name to end user for 100$ is stealing myself for money

I'm yet to find an end-user but hopefully putting up a portfolio fo my 4L.net's should attract at least some end-users my way.

By the way, Jason's jpot.net looks simply awesome especially with the new colour scheme considering that he made the entire layout himself.

Exactely, I have turned away 3 buyers last month all offering around $100. I have 2 more offers in the midst and they are looking promising. What is interesting is that amount of offers and just plain ol traffic quality LLLL's are getting so I am not concerned about turning these away. Will keep updated on any enduser sales that go through.
