what surprises me is these sites dont even have welcoming or parked page. You pay that kind of money, get good publicity and no information on the site!

That's probably all it was. Some of the high price sales looked a bit strange for such an early market with little actual activity. It seemed like an attempt to talk up the market. Looking at recent sales, many of the domains seem like business names. Given that over 81% of UK businesses that applied for their tradename as a .eu failed to get them, this could be a pattern of recoveries rather than sales.

Yep, they are both owned by the same person but both domains produce the following error message though:
