its a strategy of, put "something" up so basic and bland that people will know you dont need the income from the domain so you better offer a huge amount of money or forget it.

Yep, truelly a waste of good real estate :imho: Reminds me of awhile back when Trivia.net (a .net, but a nice one most NPers would own if they could) was a "featured" (paid for) domain on Sedo.com (I believe ended-up in auction, could be mistaken). During that time it had no index page, and the folders and subfolders on its hosting account showed. Crazy as it sounds, some of the files and pics reachable via that directory-view were definately what one would call "very personal and private" - yet the seller had paid to make it stick-out for sale at Sedo, hence drawing more folks to go look just to see what was there :o

yeah dumb things happens but this is the limit for me:) 10 years of nothingness and it became natural page rank 5 :))
