Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

FISE.com 2,700 Euros
TSRT.com US $760
VEUP.com US $1,700

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

That's what I love about this niche... everybody has their own sense of what makes a particular name shine a little brighter than the rest. In my view, kisy is just alright, while yurk is downright fabulous.

I dont really like Yurk.. especially at that price..
I got names like Yimb and Yoct at a fraction of the price which look much more premium IMO.

btw Vuma.com sold for $1,610 on snap today

I'm not fond of any of those, I would have paid half or less for all of 'em! :cy:

Hi guys, I have about 150 LLLL expiring in the next 20 days. They are not all best quality ones but some are pronounceable like XAXM.com, XAVM.com, QAVN.com, etc, etc... What do you suggest I do with them? Many of them has Q, Y, K, J, and at least one bad letter...

I am thinking about renewing all of them but will I be able to recover my costs in the near future?

yes I should have sold them when low quality LLLL names were going for $50 few months (years) ago... BUT I didn't...

Thanks,
Netklick

well, you will have to be very picky about these bro if you dont have too much extra cash lying in your bank.. choose best out of the rest and renew them and let others go in np auction for quick bucks.

atleast that's what I just did ;)

Hello everyone,

Last month, I picked up DAQR.com and parked it at Sedo. To my surprise, it received good traffic from the first day. Of course its Sedo, so no clicks but the traffic was 91% U.S even though Wayback shows a Chinese site? As I have often done with domains like this, I switched it to Whypark (simple set-up and left it alone). In the first month at Whypark, it received over 700 visitors and a click through rate over 10% and made $4.00 (average click is about $.05) Basically, I've done nothing with it. The traffic is steady and there is at least one click every day.

I don't have experience monetizing LLLL.com and cannot figure out what they are looking for. The articles/keywords are set by Whypark.

For you pros out there, should I continue to do nothing and let it roll or am I missing something bigger here? Should I try to optimize?

Thank you.

I suspect it was on a lot of radars - until someone put 2K on the table and said "mine". Great domain, I am sure they will make a profit, but I suspect the ROI on less collector-type domains might be better.

It totally depends on your situation. If you can put forward the money to renew them for two or three years and not miss it, then you probably will beat the stock market or other conventional investments. If you have a lot of time and not a lot of money you might do better shifting sideways into better names that have less of their overall cost as renewals.

It is a tough question - the conventional wisdom is to go for quality over quantity --- but that does not always hold true.

On January 23, 2008 Reece posted values for the different sectors of the LLLL.com market. This was a little before the peak, the closest to it that is preserved in archive.org:

4letternoob.com said:
... Minimum Wholesale : $33.00 ...

Triple Premium Min Wholesale: $45 ...

Quad premium LLLL.coms minimum wholesale approximately $250 ...
As you can see, the percentage drop in the low end has been far greater than the high end. (That does not mean that prices will return to the same ratios, but it is a good guess) Some of this divergence is due to renewal cost - but there also are other factors. There is a resistance to higher prices, both by investors and by end users. When demand increases and supply is fixed, formerly oversupplied bottom of the barrel domains become ROI stars.

As mentioned, your time is a factor. If you have little additional money for this investment and would like to put some time into improving your holdings then you can sell from the bottom of your holdings and buy better names, although I would suspect you would do best picking through the lower priced offerings. There are a lot of pretty good domains mixed in the "bottom of the barrel", at the moment.

---Just one point of view. Other people would advise you differently. Actually, there are enough people studying LLLL.coms that the odds have evened up pretty closely in the different strategies. Overall it depends on how the future will treat LLLL.coms, and not so much where in the market you invest.

Daqr.com, below are some categories that were used on the site, also i found 42.949 back links on Yahoo which is quite good. i would also suggest using less articles on your Whypark page, try around 5 or 6 articles on the front page, and 5 or 6 on the side.

I'm not sure what relevance all those hyphens are in the domain name, get rid of them IMO. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much! Yes, the Yahoo backlinks are what is driving the traffic and I agree about the Whypark articles- the more articles served by Whypark, the greater chance of duplicate content. I am no expert with Whypark, but I am probably in the top ten percent of revenue- I have figured out how to get revenue from keyword domains and to be on page 1 of search, but this LLLL.com has been a head-scratcher! Chinese history, American search and +10% click-through with "English" articles?

Hyphens- some of my best revenue domains are done this way because- if you don't know which letter combinations are producing the search, its best to cover all possible variations. I do not think the hyphens contribute materially to the click-through rate, but will change now to see if there is any difference.

I really appreciate the feedback. Repped. Thank you!
