Prozac.us
BusinessWeek.us
DataStream.us
ComputerShopper.us
EastBay.us

These are all trademarks. You couldn't pay me to take businessweek and probably prozac and datastream. I would develop eastbay about the san franciso bay region, and metrobus about the DC transit system and computershopper as a comparison shopping site. I wouldn't have caught the others, not knowing what to do with them.

Honestly Airwav? They dropped for a reason.

There might be some development value in metrobus, topstory and thankGod ... but that's a lot of work for little return, imo. I believe McGraw-Hill might have something to say about business week (http://www.businessweek.com/) and you would most definitely have problems with Prozac. Eastbay is an OK geo.

I don't want to come across as 'my way is best' because everybody has their plan and are working to stick to it. BUT. As I mentioned in another thread, there are still some solid .us names out there for reg fee. Names that exceed 10,000 OVT and have decent bid numbers. For example, I picked up usedtransmissions.us (Jan. OVT (still) 13275) today for reg fee. Now, am I going to retire on it? No. But more and more of the .us names are getting uniques and clicks, and if those terms are being searched in decent numbers ... some of those searchers are starting to type in keyword dot us.

A nickel's worth of free advice? Focus. Find some niches in select keywords instead of broadly registering random terms. Coordinate and package your names. Create your own verticals. I believe you'll create a more balanced portfolio and find yourself with less, um, 'stuff'.

As always, good luck.

Well it is clear that some of them will drop again... :td:

However, I do plan to dev EastBay.us into a forum for SF Bay area :)

Just be sure to avoid anything related to clothing, fashion, apparel, even t-shirts.

I'm an East Bay guy myself. Let me know when the forum's up and running.
