Hi All. I have a very good domain name related to 'The Beatles' and would value any feedback. I have done trademark checks and based on the actual domain name it can only be used to market Beatles songs I have been told it should be fine. Would anyone consider a domain like this as a potential investment to enter into there portfolio with a view to using or selling it on? Any feedback whether positive or negative welcome. Thank you

Titles are not protected by default; however, if additional commerce attached the it gets protection.
So for example t-shirts, posters, lunch boxes etc. If the single was a hit then it mighy also have TM commerce protection - this covers most Beatles songs.
Also copyright might extend if the song is original. i.e. Crazy might be too generic but Nelly The Elephant (great tune) is original.
It would be an obscure song imho to not be a problem. The problem likelihood increases if the site is profiting FROM the recognition afforded it by the beatles band.
I would think any interested party looking to invest $$$ would be needing a decent legal opinion and\or clear usage with the song rights holder (still the Jacksons?)
