So I was watching American Idol, yes I watch

And they announced the new show coming out called The Band Show. It will be like an American Idol but for bands from what I can see. I thought I'd go ahead and and register a few names incase it gets as big as American Idol is.. and I think it will.

Hmm..

I don't know if it's because I posted this thread here or if it's 'cause they announced it on American Idol last night but.. a couple of these DNs have already made it to the top of my list at Afternic, (views of offer) In just 12hrs.. And a few are already getting alot of traffic, in just 12hrs of being parked. .

I sure hope this trend continues.. and grows

I was online when I overheard that and my gf was watching the show last nite. It will definitely get a lot of traffic. A lot of these bands will go online and start searching where they can send their homemade videos.

I hope they announce it everytime it comes on from now on.. ohh and I hope they start running commercials. I thought alot of people (those w/o tivo or DVR) would probably look it up online as they only mentioned where to send videos for like 10 seconds.. I can't even remember if it was an address or a web URL?

I would think they would anounce it more often. They have to promote it so it can get lots of attention. Just in American Idol show alone gets millions of viewers. Keep us updated with the traffic.

Hi I'm just trying to calibrate my system for the .net tld, at this point it says just $24 for your .net, but I think you were quick and there is definitely great future potential for these names if indeed the show takes off as big as you think. In that case the name will increase in value hugely. It will be interesting to see what my system says in a couple of months from now.

A very good sign that they are getting traffic already! Any domain name making $10 in advertising per year is worth registering!

I found the band show website today Yay, it's official. Though I HATE it when TV shows use MySpace as a website. Fox does it alot!

It is worth the gamble if the show becomes big like American Idol as you will get traffic to your names.

Thanks investor. I think they will actually be worth more in the future.
I think this show will do as well as American Idol, or at least I'm crossing my fingers.

It looks like they have another website too, they jus anounced it on the tv. http://nextgreatband.msn.com , along with their MySpace page.

Now why do that want that .msn extension site when they can buy one of my names.. LOL Plus this site: www.thenextgreatamericanband.com is up and running. I wonder if the producers are going to try to buy it or legally get the domain?
