I just picked up this 4 letter dictionary word .com and I am wondering what you guys think of it. This could be used for the self help niche (which is huge). What do you think? Thanks!

The phrase is: to be stuck in a rut. Career rut, life rut.. So self help or career help or many other options.. Not to mention that it is an acronym with many uses..

That is between me and the seller ;) What do you think about the monetary value of the domain?

I would hold it to sell to someone that wants it for some russian acronym. RU at the start. To me that's where the money is.

I think as the word "ruts", as you described above, it's too abstract and probably only worth like high XXX at the most. But with LLLL it's really hard to tell.

Sorry, but if you think that you will get a dictionary word 4 letter .com domain for anywhere in the XXX range then you are just wrong (to use the least harshest word that I could think off :)).

Yes, the term is to be stuck in A RUT.

You really have a 3 letter word + S.

If you google "Ruts", nobody uses the plural. There is however a UK crust punk band that uses it.

Anyway, check out some of these CVCS sales - http://www.llllsales.com/index.php?l4=s&p=2048

And apology accepted.

No way this domain is only gonna get $xxx, it will get a lot more than that.

Surely low xxxx to say the least.

low-mid $$$$ reseller

I see this more as a brandable for the obvious reasons (many 3 letter dictionary words with a Z to make a plural are businesses), but the business model provided could work with the plural. It could be a community in which people are stuck in a rut as mentioned. However, I see it being a broad name that can be used for anything, including the Russian aspect.

This is a very nice LLLL.com domain.
It is a short generic single word which increase it's value by a great measure.
Also, it is a good brandable domain.

Resell price: low $xxxx
End user price: high $x,xxx to low $xx,xxx

Good luck :)

Thank you for all of your opinions guys. Any one else wants to chip in?

Yes, me :)

I'm sure that it was a nice profitable buy for you. As @David Walker mentions, this is more on the brandable side than dictionary but covers both really well.

My bottom would be $5k but I think it is reasonable enough for high 4-figures.
