I registered bpm.org back in 1998 as a personal website to host DJ mixes that I made. I'm no longer in the "business" and have no use for the domain. Traffic was never great, as I didn't put much time or effort into getting up the ranks of search results. I think it was anywhere from 200-400 visitors a day. Never really paid much attention, to be honest.
BPM has various usages, but primarily it stands for Beats Per Minute, which is a popular term that relates to the speed of a dance music song. Obviously it can also be used for heart rate monitoring and I suppose you could throw in Business Process Management into the mix. Ideally, this domain would be used for DJs, dance music producers, or any organization who specializes in the industry.
I've done several online domain appraisals and they are all over the place. Some say $600, the majority say $5000 (including GoDaddy), and some even go upwards of $15,000. I really don't know what to believe, although I'd be kidding myself to think it's worth anything on that high end. I'm looking to see what some of you think, as I have little (really none) experience with domain selling.
