Thank you to all the NP members that have welcomed me into the NP community with open arms. I am trying to learn all that I can for you guys and hopefilly develop this into a little much needed cash for the family. Once again I have yet more questions.

When you sell a domain, what is the usual procedure to transfer ownership to the new party?

If you have had the domain under 60 days, can you still sell it?

I am would like to give someone an oppurtunity to sell 10 names of my domains at once. What percent is customary and which board should I post it on?

What are NameBucks? How do I get them?

I'll try to answer some of your questions:

When you sell a domain, what is the usual procedure to transfer ownership to the new party?

Not super experienced in this area . . .but it depends where you sold it and the value of the name. For example if you decide to sell a name for something small like $50 then you would ask the buyer to Paypal you the money.

Then upon receipt of the money you would get the buyer to register and tell you his registar ID. Say you registered the domain at GoDaddy. If I'm at GoDaddy I would then give you my ID and you would be able to "push" the domain name to me.

The name then becomes property of the buyer.

If your name is extremely valuable the buyer is not going to paypal somebody $10k.
So in this case you will have to use an escrow service (like escrow.com) where it mediates over the transfer of the funds and the domain name (I haven't actually done this and perhaps others can explain this part better).

If you have had the domain under 60 days, can you still sell it?

Yes. I had this question too when I started out. What you are refering to is the fact that a registrar like GoDaddy will not allow you to transfer the domain to another registrar within 60 days. But you can still transfer it to another user as long as the domain name remains with GoDaddy. It could NOT be transfered to Namecheap for example.
