Got this today and I dunno why except for the fact that it sounded nice.

TenderGames (.) com

Thoughts, opinions, pans, etc. welcome. No analysis rebuffed and each one that you give will be a testament to your compiled wisdom here on Namepros.

Would this make for a romance type site/forum or is it a more arcade-related? I'm thinking outside the box and considering the former but for a buck and some change I figured I'd take a bet that an enduser may find favor with the name. Parlayed this with:

SurpriseGames (.) com and PackageGames (.) com for the trifecta and a three dollar bill...

The problem with "tender games" is, as with tender as an adjective it has negative connotations with games. Like someone is being affectionate, but it's all part of some cruel game/scheme. I can't see any purpose, really, regardless of which meaning of tender is used in conjunction with the word games.

On the other hand, Surpise Games could be a good brand name. It could be used for a company that provides games for children's parties, for example. It could also be the name for an adult site (I'll let your mind think about the many possibilities for that). Or even the type of games where someone pay money to take part in a live "game". They don't know who, what, where, or when, but it could provide some excitement in their life (such as espionage, many guys want to be a spy but can't). Or (back to the adult type theme) for hen/stag/buck/bachelor/bachelorette nights (to surprise the bride/groom with an interesting game to remember). It's hard to place a value on it, but mid to high $xx (or perhaps I am just tight fisted) to an end user as it's a cool name.

...I want to let you know that I appreciate the appraisal of tendergames. It is well thought out and understood and for the most part is quite correct. Thank you for your insight.

The interesting thing about "negative" games, in my mind, is that while one has no desire to personally be in such a situation, there is an urge for many to explore its realms through other superficial means. In television, shows like Jerry Springer or Maury Povich quench the thirst of those who, for whatever reason, are attracted to those types of scenarios, whether they relate to it or not. It is a gruesome desire to be a Peeping Tom and tune in to other people's lives.

It would be interesting indeed if a site is or would be erected to cater to those with similar but much more subtle "tender" needs. A more tender approach to an age old problem that has plaqued man and woman since the Garden of Eden... But I only bought the name because it sounded nice and the price was right, not necessarily in that order.

I am quite happy that you see some benefit in the name surprisegames, though, as that was just a spur of the moment guess that I thought wouldn't be available. thanx for that as well...
