What do you guys think about the domain TelPortfolio.com

I have had it for a couple years and even gotten offers in the past.

I think its perfect for someone investing in .tel domains.

As the owner of telresale.com, teltutor.com and teltrader.com I commend you on your great choice of domain name! :D

If it's ok to ask you, what were the previous offerors for your domain wanting the name for (as it predates .tel)?. I suspect some sort of catch-all for telephonic applications.

I like these domain names for .tel applications too. Shorter than the dottelxxxxx.com ones (although the dottelxxxxx.com's are more specific).

Thanks for your response. You have some nice tel .com domains too. The name predates .tel's 2009 launch but was regged after .tel was already announced. Not sure what they wanted it for but i'm sure for something relating to the extension.

TelPortfolio.com is brandable and this is the right time to sell it. There are many .tel’s lovers around. You can easily sell it for high $xx to low $xxx.

Hi, I am just wondering what the reasons are that people are saying that .tel will fail.

Would be very interested to hear what "the many" are saying. Have read a lot of negative stuff on DNF.

As I see it , it could be a good domain if TEL really takes off.

if it flops it might not be so good.

Reseller price: mid to high $xx

Reseller as in someone who isn't holding a ton of .tel domains... I don't think this will get a huge amount to random domain resellers.

However, whilst the hype is strong - to an end-user (ie. someone who actually has a .tel portfolio) you could expect low-mid $xxx.

It is a brandable name and works very well for someone who has a lot of .tel domain names. But I think it's limited in use and has more of a vanity attachment than actual use.

A lot of people will register .tel domains - not that many people will have enough to call it a portfolio... and even then, the ones who register tons' will also have other extension domains - and on top of this, not many of them would be developers... so making a portfolio site on a new domain wouldn't be easy or that beneficial... more likely they would forward the domain to a page on their existing site which showcases .tel domains... all of which reduces the chance of this getting around to being developed.

It's a good domain though.... especially now... try to actively promote it if you want to take advantage of the .tel hype. Good luck.
