A Dedicated server can be using as many IP's as there is Domains, nothing stopping you from even have multiple IP's for one name.
the number of IP's has no direct correlation to the number for domains and the physical location of the files.

My question is technical: Can search engine see somehow some websites MAC address over the internet?

Example: if one physical server has one network card and 10 IP addresses. Can google find out that 10 servers in different IP-s are running on single machine - if it can read mac address remotely and all 10 IP-s have same mac address?

No, search engines do not coordinate with your mac addresses, nor will they find them.

They will also not find the other IPs unless your site is being broadcasted over one.

That is even to say with www.netcraft.com

templaterave is right. MAC address is not routed.

The MAC address is used on the local network, however many windows servers happily broadcast it on request. I use this, along with hundreds of other things, when fingerprinting a machine.

I'm not aware of any search engines who use fingerprinting to detect multihomed machines, but there's not reason they couldn't. Given a range of addresses it's pretty trivial to determine which addresses are assigned to which machine with a high degree of accuracy.

Thanx for repliles - my question was general one - is it technically possible to find out servers mac address, if you look inside the packets going from client to web server (or from search engine to web server).

IF some search engine does that and uses the info is completely other issue. :)
