I have a support question:

I have a machine running Win 98, and I am trying to alter the Hosts file in the Windows directory to change the default IP address for a domain (I am changing ISP providers).
I can enter the IP address and domain (host name) as I'm supposed to, but when I try to ping to that host name, it still points to the old IP address (for the previous provider). I have saved, rebooted, and no luck.
Anybody know how to fix this problem?
Sorry if there is another forum for this...

update -
I figured it out. I had to rename the hosts.sam file to hosts (no extension).
