That is very true and an excellent point to mention. I assumed that everyone buying .tv on tdnam knew about the large fee that comes with the purchase price. TDNAM would sell a lot more .tv names if they made the renewal with a TDNAM purchase something more reasonable.

For anyone who did not know about the higher fee when you purchase a .tv on TDNAM, I should point out that TDNAM does the same thing with .info names. Any .info name you purchase through TDNAM will actually be the purchase price plus $7.19. So, keep that in mind too.

Also everyone should keep in mind that these registrations are for 11 months, not 12, when calculating if a TDNAM name is worth the price.

11 months because they start your registration when the last one ended, which is technically before the name even started on TDNAM. When the name eventually enters your account, it has been a full month since it expired and you get 11 more months before it is up for renewal again.

I can remember when the Archivos.tv sale went through a while back, i did not get it at all and SKG told me it had amazing potential as some kind of internet archive though i did not really understand it to be honest.
I wonder how it went from $1000 to a drop in 1 year, shame somebody wasted $1000 at a time when that kind of money could of bought you a great .tv
