I did some free appraisals and they valued it between $1,000 to $2000.

Can anyone confirm that it really might be worth that much?

It's the name of a band, fairly common last name, and a wine.

Any opinions/appraisals would be much appreciated!

Is this worth spending money to get a professional appraisal in anyones opinion?

I'd like to sell it and am not sure what it's worth.

Not bad, but not particularly valuable. You might draft an email to the few organizations that seem to have this word in their name; but IMO your best bet is approaching people who have this as a surname, and offering it for a reasonable price to them. Someone might bite.

It does have value, though it gets almost no monthly searches to speak of.

To a reseller = high xx to low xxx range.
end user = anywhere from $200 - 2K depending on which ones are interested, how many you can find who are interested, how much they want the name, and how much they can afford.

I think you could probably sell it quickly and reasonably for 200 - 400 range, anything more than that would take some work and time.

I have emailed some people who I thought might be interested but so far have got no response, so I think maybe I'll just sit on it till a fair/decent offer comes along.

I did some more research and found out it's a city in New Zealand and other stuff as well.

You just got professional appraisal from Banen, and I agree with him. And I would advise you not to spend money on paid appraisals, best advice you'll get for free from good people on this forum
