It is not three letter but 1 letter and two digits, which unless with an obvious meaning is regfee for the .us domain.

reg. fee

currently the 3 character .net domains are selling for up to ~$20, until this changes significantly, the .org/.us and all other extensions are not going to see a noticeable value increase. If your domain stood for some sort of abbreviation the situation changes. But, as it stands, reg.fee only. :imho:

regfee for now. The only 3 chars with value in the .us extension are LLL and NNN right now (unless the domain has a specific meaning).
