Hi to all the experts

Needed a suggestion and was wondering if some of the experts could comment on this.

I am planning on starting an price comparison portal to make life easier for shoppers. The site can also be used to find products across different niches. More like a shopping search engine.

I am looking at a few domain names which i had registered and was wondering if they are any good.

ShoppingToolbox.com

ShoppingDecisions.com

ShoppingDigitally.com

OnlineShopping.xyz

eShopping.xyz

Which do you suggest would be the best and what would you pick. Comments and Suggestions welcome.

Anything but the .XYZ.

I would look for search volume on the .com's as well as competition. Then, pick the best out of that in which will fit your business model and budget.

when you say search volume, do you mean the entire volume of keyword1 + keyword 2 .com
Shopping has a good search volume, but the 2nd word kind of kills it.

Does it have to be mandatory for both the words to have a great search volume or is just the first part good enough?

Its brandable, its singular, it's a .COM, and it makes sense.

if your main target market is women do not use the word toolbox but rather ShoppingDecisions.com

you are asking mostly men about a name, sure, toolbox sounds wonderful to us, try posting this poll on a female forum

I don't really like any of the choices above but more importantly you should be ask the question why you believe you can offer a better solution and compete with existing shopping comparison sites. How much are you willing to invest in this venture to be successful? If you need six figures or more to be competitive, why would you choose a reg fee domain as your brand?

I voted for eShopping.xyz although I quite liked OnlineShopping.xyz . Then I read your post and thought that ShoppingToolbox.com would be best now that I knew the context (as per the poll question I was voting on the name alone).

So then I see the comment that "toolbox" has more masculine appeal and now I think it's maybe not the best!

If people get over the initial strangeness of .xyz (and I think they will) then for me eShopping.xyz is a fantastic name. You never know, looking so "strange" might make it memorable.

Any advantage over what? Over the same domain with a .com? No, it won't.
Make sure you get the idea - for keyword-related domains you research and determine the keywords with the best search traffic and lowest competition. The actual extension does not add or extract from the keyword value. For the extensions you are either looking at originality and clever combinations (like shopwith.me) or rely on memorability and easy perception (where .com is ruling the stage without a competition atm).

I like shoppingtoolbox.com best on your list. If the budget is reg fee I'd kick in another $2.17 for a long descriptive like pricecomparisonengine.com or show your continental flair with comprarebasso.com. It'll be rolling off your tongue like dolcegabbana in no time. Tutte le strade portano a Roma.
