I like it...Kinda brandable.
Short name...Someone out there in the Financial biz wants this name.

It will increase in value so hold on. hmmm .com sold for $25k

This must be worth around $2.5k then but much more to the right wealthy end user.

Funny ! If This Name is Worth 2.5k ,I think my hostingz.info will be worth 3k.haha

I thought that .net is 1/10th of .com? I thought that .net is worth more than .info?

well, if we base the value purely relative to the com sale price, then my reasoning goes like this:

sex.com was 14 mil right? sex.info was 200K?

so I think that comes to: .info value = approx 1.5% of .com value

1.5% of 25K = $375

Now, that's being a bit generous because the sex.com sale is getting close to 3 years old now, while the .info was recent, so I assume the ratio is closer to 1% or .5%

therefore I would have to say low $xxx

Ok I may have got my figure wrong...However I believe the value of .info increases according to what info it is offerring. When I see .info I expect to get impartial information. .com I expect is selling something.

Stockz.info is good use of .info Stockz.net makes less sense.

But I do feel that a well off stockbroker would pay quite a bit for this name.

Which would look good on his/her business card

Maby it should be developed a bit.

I have quite a number of developed sites so I tend to see things from the viewpoint of an end user.

And is there any evidence that Search engines favour .com over .net or .info?

I disagree. If you were a professional domain broker, helping multi-million dollar companies acquire six-figure domains, would you want to hand them a business card saying "Domainz.info" or "DomainNamez.info"?

I'm sure stockz.com sold because it's catchy and is just screaming for development as a web2.0 stock market simulator or portfolio tracker. Stockz.info could be developed as a hot stocks forum/newsletter site, but I don't really see any commercial use for it.

Someone (who is in the domain biz for many year) gave me a rule for evaluate the domain names with extention other than .com.

.com = 100%
.net = 10%
.org = 3%
.biz, .info, .us = 1%

Also, some domains were sold with websites which already have steady traffic. You just need to look into it and see what the real deal was.

Regfee, please visit my site. There are about 750 domains in there. You many find 6-figure domains for the price less than $100. The prices there are reasonable.

I was simply confused Anthony. I wasn't questioning your appraisal ability, instead, I was wondering why you made it a point to mention you were selling six-figure names for under $100, that's all.

Why would I PM you with suggestions, when I could post them and enlighten everyone else?

The problem with looking at past sales of .infos in this case is of course the 'z'. I believe there are some threads about this already, (even one in which I defend my gamerz.us), but 'z' is a pretty tricky letter to deal with. High dollar sales of words with z's instead of s's sometimes cause people to think this should be the case all the time.

When looking at prior sales data, I put a little more weight on volume rather than price. Let's instead take a look at ALL namebio data for .info's ending in z:
free-appz.info
$60 2007-07-10 Sedo
free-appz.info
$60 2007-07-10 Sedo
shz.info
$173 2007-05-23 Sedo
free-appz.info
$200 2007-04-22 Sedo
bloombiz.info
$80 2007-03-28 Sedo
bbiz.info
$266 2007-03-19 Sedo
sassnitz.info
$665 2007-01-30 Sedo
SUEZ.info
$3,500 2005-10-28 Afternic

To me, this could mean three things:
1) all of the holders of premium keywordz.info are holding out for better returns.
2) all of the sales of premium keywordz.info are done through private channels
3) keywordz.info just don't sell.

Since names are running out,

Nice to see those xxxZ.com , xxxZ.net, xxxZ.info scooped and get recognition as brandable sites...

We have seen them already.. most notable is trafficZ.com

Good luck to you.

Regfee, I was not confused. You did not question my appraisal ability since I did not give any appraisal to the xxz.info domain.

Also, I was trying to make a sale pitch on my domains and hoping that when you visit my site, you will be able to pick up some domains for $xx to $xxx and sell to someone for $xxx.xxx - if such domain(s) exist. That's all.

RegFee said:

You are welcome to give your opinion on my domains and pricing and post it on this thread. But my concern was that since this is not my thread, such action may not be pleased by the thread owner, Cadydoo.

Well,
You are comparing apples to oranges.

The word Sex is meaningful, but stockz?

Regfee, imho.

this domain (and winez.info too) are worth what they are worth for branding purposes.

The word stockz returns less than 1k google results , and has no overture results. I constantly reg .info names that have at least 3000 OVT.

Stockz is an end user term, because it is brandable. But end users stick with the .com, and I doubt you could offer this domain to a firm. The "z" and the .info together are a bit too much. No company would advertise itself as Stockz.info (or I don't think so).

Frankly, I think it is worth low $xx for resellers. And I say this with no harm to the OP.
We cannot rely all the time on the sale of a .com. If that would b the case, I would register in this very moment 18-wheeler.org, .biz and .us because the .com sold for $82390, and they have to be worth at least 1%.

But this is not the case. When I register a domain, my first question is: Will somebody want to use this name for his site? And for stockz.info my answer is not likely.

but the domain is still worth more than its regfee, so a good reg.

Alex
