domain Stock name

stockshares.biz worth anything? all tlds taken except .org

I think .biz fits it well.

Reg. fee+, IMHO. Not unsuitable in the ".BIZ" ... but the Reseller space is not yet robust for the extension, in general. Long-term hold, as I see it ... or potentially for development.
PS. The ".ORG" doesn't look all that bad, either ... suggest some Google research here.

Not necessarily, DSL ... there are folks who collect (ie., hobby) actual stock certificates (ie., "shares"). That's why I recommended you check the Google listings prior to purchase.

IMO opinion, and being a trader myself, I can say that the name definately doesn't fit the extension. I'de say go ahead with development and see what happens...good luck!

The name itself is good, but the extension is bad IMO! I personally do not like the .biz extension too much. I would say around $30 undeveloped, good luck!

Same thing happened to me. I registered TV-shopping.info, then discovered that it was registered at Sedo for $50,000! I had planned to list it for like $500, but now I don't know what to ask for it.

I was thinking of getting it appraised, but so far no one's told me about their experience with Sedo appraisal.

Honestly I think 150 and thats a tough sell.
I havent tried sedo, but most appraisals are way overpriced.
There overpriced to make the customer happy of course.
Place it on ebay with a high reserve ( and dont tell anyone). That way people will bid what it is worth and you can see what you can get for it. Then relist it again and see what the bid goes up to. Then add alittle bit to that number and try selling it for that.

This also happened to me with some .info's a I own. Good luck with stockshares.biz.
