Having Cruised the carribean three times and visited both sides of the island, I have to say that they are thriving tourist destinations, and they are both going to become a diamond to develop.

Thanks,
Josh.

SKG: I think St.Martin is the better option and i would of much rather had that but im still pretty happy with StMaarten.

I noticed the .com of StMartin & StMartaan are owned by same company and they use the 1 website for both domains, i would of loved to of got both .Tv domains also but i'll need to be happy with 1.

After looking over past few hours for .Tv Islands names id noticed that there is a fair few still available to reg. I have stayed away from many of them though as they are smaller islands, my question is how small/least populated ISland is worth regging? WOuld it be worthwhile in your view Reggin a Geo name for a Island or City where population was under 50,000 people?

The population of the island is not as important as the number of tourists visiting there and if any major events are held there. If there is only one hotel on the island that says something, right? Keep that in mind. Businesses and ad dollars follow people.

I think that Wineguy has really hit the nail on the head with congratulating linker for regging a home town.......

Yes geos are a good buy.......but from a commercial standpoint, a home town geo has so much more potential to both monetise, get advertised, get people involved and give the site a personal touch so that those people in that home town feel like they BELONG and are 10 times more likely to make the site their home page.........

This is not to say owning geos far away are a bad buy...I own both SAN JOSE and THAILAND......but I will either sell these to an end user or wait until I have made some money from the sites that I do develop and then party it up in Thailand for A YEAR at least ......to get a feel for the place and make the right conections.......to breath life into a site that feels local...
