Could be a great way of getting extra revenue if you could get all those big companies onboard.

A large corporation is not going to be interested in spending millions of dollars brand building a subdomain when they don't control the primary domain. End users are not going to be interested in subdomains.

Only time can tell ... .us.com .uk.com and other are successful providing this services years ago. Just the right technology and packages, this will be a good service. I will raise my case, I have no people to implement this right now.

Agree with Local 100 % and we are really taking the train to crazy town if we think NBC, whose parent company is GE would be interested spending money on a sub domain. NBC is known worldwide, Station.tv is not in any way. No offense its a nice domain but I think it foolish if everyone here just pats one another on the back and tells them I agree 1 + 1 = 3. Again IMO

How many big companies have purchased us.com domains?

I see many for sale on Afternic. I blow right past them for the concerns expressed above.

Subdomains really haven't taken off in .COM. Unless you see them working in the top extension, why would anyone be interested in them in .TV where you can acquire quality domains at reasonable prices?

Thinking way out of the box, sub domains have been around since the 90's no disrespect IMO that is not out of the box thinking. Especially when they already have or can have their own .tv

reason - because NBC owns the primary domain.

i meant things like music.station.tv radio.station.tv and so on , i believe this name offers this opportunity, hey get over the fact all the premium cheap generics are gone , time to think outside the box and work with what you've got, good luck to all
