stashpot.com is low to mid $xx,xxx
potstash.com i don't care as much about.

I am about to appraise w/ moniker & sedo.. Which do you recommend? Also, is it a bad idea to sell this domain as opposed to taking a loan from my bank or a friend and developing it? I feel it could bring in $300-500 per day in advertising revenue if really monetized correctly by professionals. My problem is I am broke ****, have no car, have no job, live in expensive San Diego, and am stuck between hawking this domain off to get a car and cash I need to move up in this world - and later regretting the decision - or I can develop it and capitalize on that $300-500 per day.. Unfortunately I don't know of any marketing/SEO agencies that will work on contingency. I will try Craigslist/calling around various SEO offices but I doubt I will get anywhere without capital.

What was that Domain financier's site?

Stashpot has huge branding potential.. It can be the internet Stash Pot.. a place where you stash your ideas, your files, computer programmers can upload paste snippets and collaborate via CVS.. It can be a file hosting site.. The possibilities are so endless it's a primo domain name.. That's why I'm ordering a pro appraisal as soon as I get some money to pay for it. Its way catcher and rolls of the tongue better than a generic term like 'stash box'.
I was just wondering which do you prefer - SEDO or MONIKER?

I used the swiftappraisal.com tool and it quoted $20,000-$31,000

I like pot stash better, lol. Anyway I don't see either of these fetching more than low $xxx unless there is an end user that really wants the name(s).

...Forget about the swiftappraisal IMHO it's garbage.

I think you can drop the IMHO in this instance. It's sad that so many people get appraisals that are insanely out of proportion to what is accurate.. I'm beginning to regret saying that the "grace delete" responses are not good enough.

I don't think this is a $0 domain but I don't think it's a valuable one. Somewhere on NP there is a guy who collects Marijuana domains - I'm sure he'd pay a few dollars.

The biggest giveaway is that it is taken in exactly one TLD. Usually that's a criteria in all appraisals - not sure where that information was ignored.

I feel bad for the OP - you need to try and take care of your car and things BEFORE hoping you can make money here.

I half think the post is a joke.... I mean develop a name like this and make $150,000 a year in advertising? That would make it worth about $2 million in my estimation.

You want to quit smoking and do more stashing.

Me personally, I'd give you about $30 for StashPot.com

Like someone else said, you might get low $xxx from a motivated buyer

Firstly, many here advise dont waste your money on paying for appraisals.

I agree. The domain is worth what someone is willing to pay for it not what a paid appraisal suggests its worth may be.

Secondly,
There are no advertisers for the term stashpot so how are you going to make money from advertising? And there are very few people doing an exact for the term "stash pot" each month to monetize this term even if there were advertisers. BTW how much do stashpots go for? i bet there is not much mark up compared to some other niches

Thirdly,
Your non dope idea makes this domain brandable. Not a keyword.

Suggestion.
If you want to develop this domain do so as a dropship head shop ecommerce type shop but dont expect to make the funds you discuss straight away it will take lots of work and time.
If you want to sell it approach the stash pot manufacturers but I dont suggest asking more than mid xxx. Unless you have balls of steel and a sales technique to match.

That financier you are talking about is Rick Latona.

Remember make sure you can eat and take care of yourself before spending money on pure speculation.

Best of Luck

Okay. I'm still tempted to order Moniker's professional appraisal just to be sure. I mean Face& book, You & Tube, Photo & Bucket, Stash & Pot. Sounds like a brand to me. Aren't brandables rare and valuable? Keywords and generics like 'stashbox.com' are always cool, but StashPot is really catchy and rolls off the tongue, and is graceful/elegant for the user to type.

So is stashcase.com and that's available.

It's your money to waste.

I would bet the $30 offer above that a couple of the people above probably have MORE collective human experience than whatever system / person Moniker has on staff to do the appraisal.

Well...I do think the domain is brandable. So most domains are as long as they contain 3 or less word sets...ideally single bisyllabic word with hard consonants on both sides(...): An observation! :) But to make a brand from a brandable, you will require EXTENSIVE marketing budget. My primary work involves product branding. That brandable to stable brand part is all $$$$$!

I like your domain and I will add $20 more to previous offers in this thread...I am not a collector type and probably would have offered you more if your name was BrainQuick.com; not because I own it but simply because I like BrainQuick better than Stashpot when I compare development possibilities and future expansion of both domains.

Since I came into this business (development/marketing) a few years ago I've come across people that were in the same situation as you. Some made it offline...some made it online. I just think you're not being realistic because you lack established network, money and solid business plan for your future online business. Getting a car is more real than "trying to sell this domain"...selling a domain is not easy...specially if you have a fixed price in mind under which you wont sell. I'd advise you to try to generate some real cash (you will have to eventually!)...

If you have other skills that you think you can use online...you will most likely make more than $50 that we are offering you for the domain: graphic, logo design, programming, content writing, translation...ANYTHING! (...) Ask yourself is there anything that you have you can capitalize on online? THAT thing could probably get you something to drive. It may not be an Escalade or a Corvette but something to begin with.

My simple advice is not to depend on THIS DOMAIN as future check that would get you the car or other immediate things that you need. Besides, please dont waste your money on paid appraisals cuz even with a stamped nice looking certificate pasted on your "Make Offer" thread...you're at 0% chance to sell it at that "officially appraised price".

That's cool that people are interested in buying it. However I don't want to sell it. I'm going to hold on to it throughout marijuana legalization/industrialization/regulation. I think it would be a bad ass name for a pot bar or club. If not, it would be an awesome brand name for a progressive casino bonus. WHO WILL WIN THE INTERNET STASH POT? WILL IT BE YOU? Yah, I realize that. My purse is full of domains. When I first started the intent was to sell one off and get a car. I later figured out that doesn't really happen these days. I just wanted to sock away some investments for the new industry behind cannabis. Mexico is already pressuring the US about regulation of cannabis. It's only a matter of time before pot + gaming is the new online sin.

The economy sucks bad where I live though. It's expensive (Southern California) and jobs are tight. I go through Craigslist every day plus have hit up minimum wage places in my area. It's hard man.

Anyways, my cards are laid out and I will just have to see what happens. If the names end up being hitters the investors will follow, I already have made friends with a few millionaires on this. A millionaire called me about my domain DankWeed.com wanting to offer his cannabis related trademarks for sale on the site. We'll just have to see where this goes.
