Starting out.

I am soon to be launching a games site, I am gettin my template made for me and hope to use a Mambo portal and PHPBB board.

I have no web design experience and only extremely limited knowledge of html, just wondering how hard it will be to run this site and if its even possible with my expertise, ill be using dreamweaver.

and thoughts will be greatly apreciated.

To actually implement the site on your own without much html knowledge might be a bit tricky depending on the setup of Mambo (can't remember as it was a long time ago since I used it). Might be a bit difficult adding your layout to it.

As for installation it's not that hard if you know how to use an FTP software and know about CHMODing files.

Otherwise the portal itself is not to hard to run. If you have problems they have a good support forum on their site.

yea it will be hard to do this at first, but once u get comfortable it will be easy. like before i knew no html, made a site, and started to get good at it, same with php

ok thanks, i just heard php is quite complicated, i know my way around FTP, so i should be ok?

Hello Rival,
The easiest thing for you would be to have Fantastico Panel so with just one click Mambo( and others scripts) gets automatically installed. There are heaps of hosting provides who offers Fantastico Panel in their packs.
Let me know if u cant find one
