.st Thread Closure

-db- recently closed the thread http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/306501-st-owners.html temporarily to do further research. Unfortunately the thread wasnt reopened yet with the outcome of his research. A private inquiry resulted unfortunately only in a rather generic response and I didnt hear anything else back from him so far. He mentioned the forums should remain peaceful, which I fully support but I cant see any bashing or hostile behaviour in this thread.

A) We take it very seriously when somebody accuses somebody-else of fraud, scamming, etc.

B) Unless you have rock-solid proof of their illegal activity, don't make such accusations.

C) If you do have that proof, it should be brought to the proper authorities, NOT US.

D) We do not want people bringing their dirty laundry and dumping it on our doorstep.

E) This is NamePros, not the Dr. Phil show. We cannot settle personal grudges.

F) And specifically, on that topic/thread... I've spoken with 4 different people over the past week. 2 would swear that "billbo" and the .ST registry are bad guys, but the other 2 would swear those folks are innocent, and the victims of personal grudges, to the point of stalking.

OK? That's the deal!

ALL of which has NOTHING to do with NAMEPOS.

So please tell me - what exactly do you want from US?

What should I want? The only issue I noticed was that a thread about the .st registry was immediately closed after some critics were brought up due to the intervention of an .st affiliate. Dont get me wrong, but did Namepros become a place where people cannot anylonger state their experience with a company unless approved by the company?

A person (with 6 previously banned accounts) accused another domainer and the .st registry of "fraud" and then proceeded to drag lots of other people into it, including the dot mobi founder, and one of the other domainer forums.

This was not a person simply... "stating their experience with a company".

Surely you can see that.

And, none of the posts were edited or censored. We just closed the thread because there was enough accusations and flames to keep both Perry Mason and Jerry Springer busy for weeks.

In summation - YOUR side is upset that the assault was not allowed to continue. The OTHER side is upset that the posts/thread are even allowed to exist in the first place, and BOTH sides have complained to me about it, both in public and private.

So you see, NOTHING is going to make BOTH sides completely happy. And frankly, I think it's time both sides moved on, because we aren't going to be dragged into a battle over this.

I would never be upset that an assault was stopped and as I already said I cannot comment on this issue about fraud, however the thread was immediately closed after the user TheBaldOne interfered (and complained about my critic too I suppose) and the fact that he is an .st affiliate makes the whole thing look rather suspicious.

neroux, until the other day, I think I might have heard of the .ST Registry once or twice in my entire life. I have never registered, purchased, bought, sold or traded any .ST domains. I don't know anything about them, or the company/people behind them. NamePros has no connection or affiliation to whomever they are.

And from now on I will remove the letters "s" and "t" from my bowls of alphabet soup.

:D No, no, I didnt want to mess up your alphabet soup, so lets not discrimate s and t .

The reason why I pursued this topic is that the very same user already accused me once more or less of lying and alleged that I am making false statements and because of this immediate closure I simply got the impression critic about .st shall be shut. Not necessarily by your intention, but at least by making you close the topic as soon as possible.
