How much do you guys think SPORTS.COM would actually sell for if it were sold today?

FYI -I'm doing an essay on domain evaluation for my business class so I need some estimates on common word domain names.

Its already a developed site, so putting a price tag on the name itself means nothing now, so your best bet is to pick a domain which hasn't been developed.

The only thing missing from the Sex.com story is a dead stripper found with a rubber alligator lodged in her throat -- though, by all estimates, to add this to the URL's outrageous legacy wouldn't be a huge shocker. Think about the amount of possible usage for an end user... nearly endless!

Sports plural is the "daddy". It is used far more often in almost every sense. Here are some examples:

Also feel sport.comworth at least 10 times more than sports.com because it's like saying Rackets.com you would rather have racket.com because it's easier for visitors to remember.

you don't have to keep reminding people your domain got a "s" in the end.

Agreed (or sold as you would put it), I will even go one step further and say sport.com is a better domain name than sports.com IMO

USA -> sports.com is more valuable

UK/Australia/colonies -> sport.com is more valuable
('Sport' is also widely used in many non-English European languages)
