I figure that this is a spider which checks for vulnerabilities to hack a website.

Is the best thing to do is block the ip: 64.34.164.52?

Probably a good idea to block his IP. But you should look further into the situation first, it could be a missunderstanding

it has happened on two of my sites, I traced the ip back and it comes with:
CUSTOMAUTOTRIM.COM

Domain servers in listed order:

NS1.CYBERCON.COM 216.15.129.2
NS2.CYBERCON.COM 216.15.129.3

I doubt it is a misunderstanding unless it is sent from a script security check company.
