As far as LLL.in go, you did the right thing by developing a minisite. It is very easy for any company to get .in domains once they file a dispute, especially if they are parked. India has very lax protection for domainers, and it seems like any .in that is contested gets won. I myself own about 50 LLL.in, but do not keep any of them parked simply because the little revenue from parking isn't worth losing the domains in a dispute.
And yes, keep the name for a few years, possibly even 5-10 and it should pay off nicely. I don't plan on selling any of mine for at least a few years down the road.
