Sometimes Freebies Pay Off..

Sometimes online freebies and promotionals can pay off.. a few months ago, I signed up at the Upper Deck website to receive their choice of 1 promotional sample card.

A few days ago, I received an UD 05 - 06 Rookie Showcase Alexander Ovechkin (NHL Washington Capitals) special card. Looking on eBay, I found these cards have gone over $60 each recently so I've listed mine already! I'll be satisfied to get over $40.. I'm not greedy

Now, THIS is wild..

My ex-girlfriend called me and said that Fed-Ex had tried to deliver a package today and had left a pickup receipt and it was from Upper Deck... we just drove over to Joplin to pick it up, and they sent me another RS30 Ovechkin rookie!! Apparently Upper Deck only made 1000 total of these cards and they sent me two now, lol!

Just checked Beckett and these cards are around $125 now.. now THAT'S a great freebie!

My bad, he has 42 this season, which is tied for second; the most this year is 44 by Jaromir Jagr. 42 goals is ALOT; 41's the most any player scored in the last NHL season. This guy is a special player.
