How certain are you that this is a legit buyer? Asking for a paid appraisal from the seller is part of a common scam. Search Namepros for toughguy. I just received one of those scam emails two days ago.

Did the mail look like this?

Hello,

Are you still interested in selling your domain name? I saw it listed for sale.

Did you get offers from other people?

I need to know your desired price. Please don't ask to make an offer. Just email the desired price.

I run a software company. We develop client-server systems and databases in Oracle for a local company. Buying and selling domain names is not my main business. Just another way to invest money and make additional income.

1. It's sent from Russia (check mail headers)
2. It's sent from a free mail provider instead of something like a company mail address
3. The software company mentioned doesn't exist.
4. This mail was discussed at the Sedo forums
