domain Some .in/co.in names

Hit me with your thoughts on these names I just picked up:

Alternate.in
MyDomain.in
FMV.in (FMV is short for Full Motion Video and Fair Market Value - both very widely used short forms)
1857.co.in (The date of India's first war of independence. The second most important date in Indian history after 1947, the date of India's independence)
Blocks.in (Blocks.com sold for $130k)

and one with some traffic:
Dhun.co.in - Hindi for 'Tunes'
Has been getting about 5-6 uniques daily, with a CTR of 26%

FMV is worth $12-$15 unless it gets traffic. Overall, generic .in and .co.in do not have any certain reseller value (except for all premium letter LLL.in which appears to be around $30 right now). Place some content at 1857 and FMV and see what happens concerning traffic. Dhun reseller value will be based on income.

I'm not sure I would agree to what you said about generic .in names, especially keeping in mind the long term prospects.

Long term value is another thing, and I agree that things look pretty good for .in in that respect. However, from a reseller standpoint, *right now* it's easy to obtain high-quality generics from the registry --- particularly as drops.

I have seen lots of LLL.in's going for $xxx and higher,
so it's just a matter of getting the right user/buyer.

And it is usually current market value, never 'potential'.
