NOW! PREFERRED ACCESS TO REGISTER.COM DOMAINS
Yet more of the world's best domain names at SnapNames

Dear SnapNames Customer:

SnapNames® can now give you the first shot at the most popular expiring domain names from Register.com, another of the world's largest domain name registrars.

You simply place back-orders on the domain names you want, with no up-front fee. Domain names at Register.com will be made available to you before they are available anywhere else. This means less waiting time and a much higher chance to get your domain name if it becomes available.

SnapNames provides preferred access to more premium domain names than any other service.

SEARCH TODAY'S LIST OF EXPIRED DOMAIN NAMES!

How It Works:
If you are the only back-order holder for a domain name currently registered at Register.com and the domain name later expires and becomes available, you'll get the name for our low $60 success fee.
When there are other back-order subscribers, you'll automatically be entered into a short auction, where the winning bid replaces our success fee.

Service Features:
Ordering is FREE!
Preferred access to domain names from Register.com, Network Solutions, and more of the world's largest registrars.
No Risk! You're billed only if we fill your order.
Search the list of available domain names at our website.
Easy account management with SnapFolio™.

Why SnapNames?
We'll soon be providing preferred access from more registrars.
We have the best quality domain names anywhere.
We guarantee a level playing field.
We protect your privacy.
Kinda Cool!

Not with GoDaddy though, they seem to be on a learning curve on this aftermarket revenue thingy, 100-1000 times more lucrative than the registration business.

I want to know how much snapnames pays the registrars for this. What their "cut" is. I really think the whole process is illegal. At the least it's unethical.

A registrars job is to sign people up for an upfront fee not auction domains they have NO RIGHT to ownership of. If anything they should hold a drawing for who wants the name. But that doesn't make enough $$$.

How much you wanna bet the registrars are in snapnames pocket. Or the other way around.

It is not necessarily a good thing, it just gives snapnames more leverage to screw people out of money. Domain drops should be a free range, of course this will never happen because of companies like this who go after domains and you end up paying hundreds of times more for it than you would have.
