Happy if you can make an evaluation of SMB.ai.
Thank you

Little value, sorry. If it was sms.ai ...I would be drooling

No appraisal from me, but I would focus on advertising it as a domain for companies building machine learning and AI for "small & medium businesses".
Good luck!

Hi Skshogun, thank you for the advise. That was my idea when I bought the company. Made some research that is a crazy growing market. Digitalization of SMB in general.

Do you have ideas of advertising it? Adding a landing page with post about the topic and say “domain for sale”? Or are there other recommended ways? Thank you for any advise

I would add a landing page like you said. Plus for this specific niche I would make a nice professional logo and advertise it in related LinkedIn groups (I'm sure you will find some). But don't spam, do just one post, maybe ask admins. Also try connecting with CTOs, CMOs of software companies providing this kind of AI solutions to SMBs.

It’s a nice 3L but little synergy with AI. What company wants to call itself SMB or small & medium business. It might be a good redirect or directory/lead-gen site but unless there’s specific orgs with the SMB acronym (let’s say Slovakia Mercedes Benz but you’re at risk of UDRP if you target them) or better, one with synergy with AI (I’ll make up something hot like Sentient Matrix Bot), I don’t see this getting much above $250)

Note: I checked on namebio for 3L.ai sales in the past year and there are a bunch of $xxxx sales but equally a bunch of $100 sales (ibs, sso). There’s even a $xxxxx sale (sit) but you can clearly see what the higher value sales domains mean. They’re usually strong words (win) or very clear popular strong acronyms (mvp). My hypothesis is either strong 3L words or tech-specific words and acronyms win. GD values smb.ai at $823 so the jury’s out. How long can you wait to find out?

Edit: Also .ai requires two-year reg for a total of $160 at Namecheap. Dunno if it’s cheaper elsewhere but again, how long are you willing to wait (and pay renewals)?

I agree with your statement that business do not consider themself happily as a SMB.

I would consider it rather suitable for B2B sales. In the sense of businesses providing solutions for SMBs (B2B2SMB). There is a big local search and e-Commerce industry where companies (agencies, telcos,…) look for solutions they can sell to local businesses. The SMB market as a target market is very lucrative. I mean it is also early for that industry. Covid just gave it a push globally.

I can wait and renew for a while. Even in 10 year it would be burning just 600€ (at the current price, and I assume the prices go down).

Thank you for your input. That was really helpful.
