I believe this site will only run on a Linux server with cPanel. I would suggest that the winner does a copy account to the new server. I can offer assistance with this.

approx how many words does the database have? does it pull from another dictionary website or is all the data manually added on? please let me know

When I purchased the site a few years ago I was told the database had more than 1 million words. All the words are in the database. Since the database is not a mysql database, I can not confirm the actual number of words.

This site has never been advertised. I had this site for 3 years but never done anything with it. I am only selling it to purchase some new scripts for my web hosting website at http://www.299host.net

Several hours ago I was offered $800 for the site, but the buyer has not yet sent the money. So it is too early to tell if this offer is still valid.

Yes the site does get traffic. It is all from search engine traffic. The site receives about 400-500 unique visitors per month. The site is listed at the top of page two on MSN & Yahoo for the search phrase 'free online dictionary'. I'm sure with a little seo work the site can easily be moved to page one.

Sorry about that. I terminated the auction and decided not to sell it. I didn't think anyone was really that interested in the site.

I purchase this site 3 years ago for $700 from a developer (not one of these Turnkey sites that you see all over the place). I never actually did anything with the site.

Since the site has a lot of search engine links, I thought that I would jut add text links to the site to help promote some of my other websites.

But if someone would offer $800 in the future, I may consider selling it.
