I have a "seriously interested" enquiry from a skip hire company in the UK for SkipHire.net.

Any views on end user value please?

I've never heard of a 'skip hire' company before. I would've pegged it at reg fee- $20 but I may be oblivious to an entire industry. Please fill me in on what a skip hire company is

if i had to guess i would have to say its a staffing service. but i could be wrong ...
if thats the case i wouldnt accept any bid under $250

If you are clearing out your house and want to get rid of all the rubbish, in the UK you can hire a skip which is an open topped metal container to put all the rubbish in. This can include builders rubbish or garden rubbish but not dangerous waste (eg asbestos) or items such as fridges and freezers which require a licence to dispose of.

The cost of the hire includes disposal of the rubbish into an approved tip.

Skip hire is not cheap and even a small skip will cost around £60+ (approx $100) to hire. Skips come in mini, midi and builders skip sizes, as well as huge ro-ro container size.

A very useful service if you have more rubbish to get rid of than will go into the wheelie bin!

The enquiry is from a medium sized regional skip hire company in the south of England.

Many thanks to all - I have put in my asking price and the enquirer is going away to consult with his partners - we shall see what their response will be - he expects to get back before the end of next week.
