Ever been frustrated by all of the "We apologize..." results when using Nameboy? This apparent shortcoming could be useful for those new to, or for those uncertain of their skills at DN selection.
After creating a list at Nameboy, go through and select all names that are keepers (if any)- names you would definitely take w/o hesitation . When finished w/ selections, add to cart. Now from results, figure the percentage of names that showed up on list as being available but actually were unavailable vs those that are available (at bottom). This will give you an indicator of how your ideas stack up w/ other DN buyers.
It is important to note that there are two flaws in this system- 1) the name is not so good and someone else erred in judgement and 2) the name is good (or fits your specific needs), in which case, lucky you.
That being understood, overall, not a bad way to compare your ideas to w/ the rest of the field.
Incidently, I have nothing against Nameboy, appreciate the free finder (limitations aside) and would do business w/ them if their prices were more in line w/ their competition.
