I hand-regged Sierras.us. It is a GEO domain as the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range (commonly known as the Sierras) are located within the United States. A couple of stats:

There are 6,060,000 results for "sierras"
Local search volume: 40,500
Global search volume: 301,000 for the exact keyword.

So, how much do you think this domain could be worth?

Well, I can say that I passed on hand regging this one myself a few days back, although it did catch my attention momentarily. The exact global search volume is 9,900, local is 1,900. The numbers you're showing above are broad results. Generally I look for a bit higher search volumes for .us and more marketability but 2k local isn't too bad. Remember that local is the # that matters as it is a cctld.

That said, it may have some value. It is a geo which fits the extension, but a bit of a slang geo at that. You're gonna have a tough time finding a realtor who would be interested as it isn't a city, state or township (more value there). I'd say low xx reseller value at the moment but if you developed it you might be able to find a low-mid xxx end-user, lurking somewhere out there with their laptop amidst the grand sierra mountains - possibly leading mule tours or something along those lines.
