Thanks to @Lox we now know, that Microsoft owns the domain copilot .si

SI, clearly, stands for Super Intelligence in this case.

Do you own any .si domains?

I'll start with the one I have;

Roboter .si

How about you?

I’ve assumed that .si is like .de, no grace and no redemption.

@E. Silvera.
What I meant is domains can be renewed during their 30-day quarantine after expiry. See Screenshot posted by @Jannes.

At least I can do it with my Slovenian provider AOI d.o.o.
Regery says they do not offer grace. Does this mean there is no renewal service during quarantine by Regery (and Dynadot)?

I just tested this. My domain sapient (.) si expired yesterday at Dynadot.

Domain is no longer resolving but I still have the possibility of renewing it at normal price.

Regery is referring to registry policy:

By comparison, at domene.si:

Confusing stuff. I already renewed before expiry at Regery so I can't test what really happens.

ARNES is sometimes reporting rgpStatus (redemption grace period status), sometimes not

Registrar dependent? (but note that the first one is Regery who supposedly has no renewal after expiration)

Anyway it's a hot mess and I believe the registry is to blame, because "pending delete" status is confusing. And if the registry treats redemption period as if it was grace.

Openprovider regularly deletes names two days before the official Registry deletion date - did anybody notice this?

Here we have a name which did not reach expiration date but already has status Pending Delete.

BTW I plan not to renew this one. Is there a Swedish member in this group interested in taking over the domain for renewal fee? Then we could test the Regery "No grace" anytime in early July as a live event on Namepros LOL.

Yes, and I think it would be interesting to learn whether ARNES knows and approves this policy. It seems misaligned with their terms.

He's welcome to acquire my aligned.si, it'll be much more affordable than oversight.si (not mine) 😜

Dynadot erased 14 of my domains within 24 hours after expiration.

One of my best domains was deleted almost instantly and now it's listed by someone else on Afternic.

How is this even possible?!

Renew your domains in time guys!

I made a mistake, that's one of my few .si listed on AN. The weird thing is that the domain still resolves even if it has been deleted by the registry. None of my other expired domains are resolving.

Deleted? What message(s) did Dynadot send? Are those domains listed in "Inactive Domains" with the option to restore?

I can restore 15 of my 17 expired domains, but I have to pay an additional €51.50 per domain.

For some reason, the registry deleted two domains; one of them on the day it expired. The other, for some reason, became inactive 12 days before expiration and has now been deleted as well.

There's nothing I can do to renew or restore these two domains, and Dynadot didn't notify me that this would happen.

Before my first .si domain expired, I chatted with their AI bot, which told me (very confidently) that there was a 30-day grace period during which the .si domains could be renewed.

Now, I have lost 16 good domains and 1 really good domain, which was deleted by the registry on the same day it expired, and the only one I would be interested in restoring by paying the restoration fee.

So it seems the biggest hindrance to the global success of .si is the registry itself. Dynadot will probably drop the extension if the registry doesn’t up its game.
