Some small background information on the two sales of the day if you are interested.
As you may have seen, the buyer of the domain Ai .si is an American named Aaron Whitfield (public source: register.si). Does anybody here know this guy? I find many sources for several Aaron Whitfields.
BTW I was the first registrant of this domain. I had registered it at the end of 2010 together with more LL .si domains when the registry brought 2-digit names to the market in a first come first serve procedure. I sold ai .si to an American in 2015 for USD 1,500.
Since my sale, ai .si has experienced at least one change of ownership. One later registrant was the Slovenian company NGN Media, who holds a great mid-sized domain portfolio.
Domain name Artificial .si dropped on April 18, and I was lucky to catch the domain.
I immediately received an offer on Sedo and an E-Mail inquiry from an Indian broker. After a brief back and forth, the Sedo bidder accepted one of my counteroffers.
Today, the buyer is visible on register.si: Jiri Burda, a name that resonates with me in more ways than one. Firstly, this German entrepreneur has registered over 200 .si domains since October 2024. Secondly, his surname is that of a famous German publishing company, although I couldn't find any evidence of a relationship between Jiri Burda and Hubert Burda Media.
