Have NEVER done this before, you know showing people your whole domain portfolio, but have been told that it can be effective. Does it work? I wonder...

so here it is:

Show us yours if you dare! :D

I think if you are selling to end users, then it doesn't help to show your domains to domainers. This is from experience, but I still do it.

My personal sales pages don't link to any other of my domains, based on a serious inquiry being presented from an end user then I would shoot them any similar domains in stock at the moment privately as I have them all databased. On sedo I uncheck the "show whole portfolio from sales page" as don't wish to display everything I have listed as it will usually lead to a handful of minimum offers from domainers. So if you're doing quick low profit flips then no harm in posting at domainer forums. If concentrating on only end user sales showing your whole hand at domainer forums just fills your box with $60 offers.

Having a professional presentation of your domains will help build credibility and trust in end users. However, doing so via Sedo or similar marketplaces will only expose your potential buyers to better and/or cheaper options from other sellers potentially turning them away from your offering.

It is also practical to have pricing for domainers so that you can move inventory and create consistent cash flow, which is not always easy when waiting for end user sales. The challange is to not expose your domainer pricing to end users when/if they do a search for the name.

An online portfolio can open many doors. One of which is business contacts.
