Should I sell?

I own a gaming website at http://www.gameworldx.com and I recently got an offer for $1500. I think its a good deal, but the problem is that I have had this site for 5-6 years and I really dont want to let it go. What does everyone else think? The site only gets around 400 uniques a day and I havent updated it much recently. What do you guys think?

how much money does it pull in? generally a good way to analyze value is $month x 12-18months = $sale price

of course, the longer a sites been online, the linkpop etc increases the value. 6 years is a long long time on the internet.. so I'd personally (w/o knowing the income ofcourse) say more than that.... but that depends on alot.

I havent really found a good advertiser. I only make in the low $xx with google a month. I used another program that made $100 a month, but that was with active x popups and I didnt want to use those anymore because it is pretty much spyware.

hmm/// well your link pop is only 88. not great for such an old site.

you need to utilize better ways to increase that. since you have flash games for webmasters (to download and use on their sites I presume) you need to put your link in the scripts AND in the games themselves so others will see them and know where to look for them. this will also increase your traffic.

Also, you can sell a breif ad space in the flash opening of the game. something like 3 second picture that says "This Game brought to you by www.Whats.in " and make that clickable.

lotsa stuff you can do

right now, I'd say hang on to it.. put more into those arease and sell it in 10 months for 10X that offer.

Thanks for the replies, my internet was down so I havent been able to respond.

I havent had this particular site for 6-7 years. I started out with a tiny gaming site when I was 11 years old where I had basic javascript games on my website. I eventually started putting java games on it and suchl I was using free web hosts at the time. I have actually only had this domain for a few years now. I havent really spent much time promoting it though. I hope to spend some time the next few weeks promoting it and updating it to hopefully increase traffic.
