Hi,

Today i tried to register .info domain from godaddy.

While using USD as currency the domain price is $3.17 (82% off)

I changed to INR currency and the domain price is $9.18 / INR 611 (46% off)

82% off for USD:

46% off for INR:

while tried to pay via USD, it shows the following error.

Godaddy can charge $10 for .info registration but i hate the partiality prices / offers between the USD & INR currencies.

Godaddy hate Indian customers !?? (or) they think we are fool ?

@Joe Styler, Is it a bug?

I just registered the domain using 101domains.com for $2.95.

It's Go Go Go out time from Godaddy :P

Sad to see.

Most of discount codes are not applicable to Indian customers.

Unable to understand the discrimination.

That's a bug. Sometimes when I try to reg in USD, a .com price is about $13, but when I change the currency to PKR, it becomes PKR1084 which is about $11. Does that mean GoDaddy loves Pakistani customers more? :P

Note: Prices change every other time I go to reg a domain. Sometimes it's better to pay in PKR, other times in USD. It's a bug.

GD and businesses in general usually charge whatever the market will bear. Taking it personally as an affront to Indians in general is a bit overdoing it. Given that GD is the leader in domains registered they can do whatever they want. Like giving domainers a user-inteface that was designed to purposefully irritate us. Or not. But conspiracy theories are cool. Anyway, in the end you punished GD for their alleged disrespect by just going somewhere else. #because business.

Thanks for bringing this up. I let the developers know about this so they can look into getting it fixed.
