Nice domain.

135,000 Exact Global Searches.
The term is taken in thousands of domains and hundreds of .ORG alone.

This one has lots of end user potential. Hard to put an exact price on it but it is easily somewhere in the $X,XXX range.

I find this valuation thread very interesting, especially in light of the "popular" sites promising "free instant appraisals", which seem to differ greatly from valuations from individual human beings. I guess my question would be - where is the middle ground between "bot" valuations and trader opinions?

For example:

Premiumdomains.com (2008, human): $25k+

Valuate.com (2010, bot): $10k+

NetSol (2010, bot): $25k+

urlappraisal.net (2010, bot): $29,353.79

estibot (2010, bot): $10k

Namepros.com (2010, humans): $x,xxx

Big spread. Who's (or what's) more on the money?

It really depends who the buyer is. If you can find a buyer willing to pay $25,000 then you can sell it for that price.

There are big spreads between reseller and end user pricing.

Domains don't come with a price guide. There is no black and white method to exactly price a domain.

wholesale: low $XXX <--- list the name in a forum 'for sale make offer' thread to get real data
retail: $XXXX

keyword comp: only one public sale record for the keyword ... namebio reports shaman.biz sold for $8 in 2006 ... it later dropped and now has a 2008 reg date ... biz is clearly less valuable than org, but it would be better news for the org to see the market pay more than chump change for the keyword.biz

broad domain market direction 2010: shaky

org market 2010: top generics with better search & cpc numbers than 'shaman' are selling for high $XXXX ... for example, portland.org $8500, smart.org $8500, open.org $6200, pollution.org $5655 ... shaman enthusiasts could care less about all of the above but search metrics and comps are good objective gauges to predict fair market value.

bot vs human: seeking mid ground between humans and bots may be overly optimistic ... both tend to be generous

I remember a year ago I think. There was an auction for "Voodoo.com" or was it "voodoodoll.com" which was worth $300,000 or something like that.

Maybe try to get Aftermarket people to do the same for you. Put it in auction.
